Plein Air Painting in the Humid Heat !

Hello Friends,  Yay !  We all got out to paint yesterday.  Since it was a bazillion degrees, we decided the more shade and mountainous the location, the better.  We went up the BR Parkway to the Little lake at the bottom of the Peaks of Otter.
The lake feeds a little stream that runs over the most gorgeous rocks ever seen.  At one time, there must of been a lot of water running through here because the huge rocks are smooth and rounded.
You can see that we all chose a shady spot.  And we all got a painting completed (like Mary Ann) below or a "start", to be finished at home.
Then one of our favorite things to do together is "LUNCH".  The Peaks Lodge restaurant is really good.  Most of us had the special.  A turkey burger with iced tea.
Another fantastic day spent in the beauty of SW Virginia with good friends, good food and brushes.

And don't forget the workshop at Evergreen Lavender Farm next Saturday, the 29th.  Go to EvergreenLavenderFarm to check it out and register.

Thanks for stopping in and have a wonderful weekend.

Happy Trails
