Hey Friends, Yep, We were able to make it out to Wasena Park again today. It drizzled this morning and was very cloudy but the weather man said it would clear up for a little while before raining again.
Hello Friends, Sorry for the absence but the weather has not been very cooperative here in SW Virginia. It has been very chilly and if it wasn't raining it was misting heavily. We decided to paint without any sun a few days ago. I was hoping to catch the heavy air but the others were happy to pretend the sun was shining.
Wanted you to see how heavy the air was without raining. Fog! Or just clouds slowly moving on their journey? It was a beautiful day just more difficult to create on a 2D surface.
We have plans for at least one day the MAN says will be sunny this week!
Feel free to forward this to anyone that might enjoy plein air painting.
Hello Friends, We had a grand time at the Arts Depot in Abingdon Thursday night. Lots of people attended and enjoyed looking at the new works of art.
There was music, a poetry reading and delish refreshments. And best of all the many people to chat with. There are about 8 studios in the building and all the owners of them were there too add to the festivities. A great group of people and Susan Yates, the director, was so very helpful and considerate.
Linda and Sue were the only members of DLP to stay over and enjoy wandering around the wonderful little historic town of Abingdon. We got lots of photos and really enjoyed the beautiful vineyard. We are planning to return May 21 & 22 for the PAINT OUT and POP UP GALLERY. CLICK HERE for Va.Highlands Festival website.
