A few of us ventured out to paint this morning in spite of the heat and humidity. We met at Mill Mountain Park just off the Blue Ridge Parkway above Roanoke City. While this is usually a “cooler” spot to gather, the morning warmed up too quickly. So today was all about some quick sketches, photos and studies. We agreed that it was good to get out for some “fresh” inspiration. We hope that next week is a bit cooler and more pleasant. In the meantime we will be working in our studios. Stay cool everyone!
And Bonnie said her car's thermometer said it was 7 degrees cooler at the top, but she could not tell a difference.
Maybe something exciting will happen before next meet-up.
