AMERICAN IMPRESSIONISM IN THE GARDEN - TAUBMAN MUSEUM OF ART

Hello Friends,  Isn't that a pretty photo up there??  We, DLP, women had a very pleasant morning roaming around in the beautiful Taubman Museum in DT Roanoke, Va. today.

Here is a long shot of one wall with fantastic examples of the Impressionist Work, by such artist as Twachtman, Hassam, Chadwick, Dewing and my favorite, Sargent.  You learn a lot when your nose is 1 inch from the canvas!

The museum set up a special area for people to sit and sketch their beautiful floral arrangements from some ones garden.

Everyone but Bonnie sketched, she took the photos for us.  This exhibit will be up until May 14th, 2017.  Go see it, it's well worth the price of $8.00.

Just a little side note now to mention one of our members, Bonnie, is being featured by Alyson Stanfield on her blog tomorrow. CLICK HERE to see.

We intend to be outside painting next week, if Mother Nature takes pity on us, at Longwood Park in Salem.

Thanks for stopping by
Happy Trails
