Never to Early to Start Planning

Soon enough the Double Line Painters of the Blue Ridge will be leading a Paint a-Long workshop at the Evergreen Lavender Farm in Appomattox, Va.

The workshop will be held on Saturday, June 24 from 10 AM - 12 Noon.

The cost is $40.00 and includes all materials to create an 11" x 14" acrylic painting.

WE HAVE A WINNER

Hello Friends,  the winner is Audrey !  of the Newsletter sign up promotion/giveaway and she has already received the note cards.

A couple new photos from the members about what they have been doing in the studio this month.  Judy loves her assistant and lets him assist anytime he feels it is nap time.

Bonnie has been enjoying her time in the studio, mooooving the cows on her canvas.

Linda has enjoyed very little time in her studio this month.  But she is a dedicated artist and dabbles every free moment.

WE HAVE A LITTLE RED FOR YOU AND A REMINDER

the LATEST ORIGINAL WORKS OF ART

Hello Friends,  Every one of our members sent in what they have just finished painting or what they are currently working on.

Above is Mary Anne's newest that she titled "The Color of Sunset".

Linda Schaar's newest creation is titled "Side by Side".

Bonnie Mason's new creation is titled "Country Morning".

Sue Furrow's creation is titled "Traces of 2016".

Judy has been busy with several works in progress this week in the studio.  Here is a photo of what she used to create three painting starts :  a gelli plate (http://www.gelliarts.com), stencils, acrylic paint (not pictured), Caran D'Ache water soluble crayons, and sheets of 300 lb. watercolor paper.  Next step on the paper is a coat of acrylic gel and begin painting to allow her to preserve the under painting.

I'm sure when Judy gets some of the starts done she will send them for you to see.
